It is mandatory for every visa applicant to request an appointment in order to submit a visa application at the Visa Section of the Embassy of France.
Appointments are granted exclusively through an online application on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, all visa applicants are invited to register for an appointment by connecting to the following website prior to submitting their visa application : http://fdip.fr/VisaMM
Visa applicants are advised to make sure they have all necessary documents ready to be submitted at the Visa Section on the day of their appointment. If any required document cannot be provided at the time of the appointment then the applicant will have to apply online for another appointment.
A specific procedure has been implemented for groups of more than seven persons travelling together as well as for people holding official and diplomatic passports. Short-stay visa applicants for Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain and Swiss Confederation submitted are also requested to register for an appointment online in order to submit their application to the Visa Section of the Embassy of France.
Visas issued at the French Embassy in Yangon are biometric visas. Visas applicants must therefore come personally to the Visa Section in order to submit their application (a photograph and fingerprints of the applicant will be taken) :
